Triple transfer green light as Klopp eyes Juventus man to fix Liverpool issue

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to launch a surprise move for Aaron Ramsey in January – and a prospective move to Liverpool FC has seemingly been given the go-ahead by all parties.

The Welshman has struggled to hold down a starting role in Turin, having moved to Juve from Arsenal on a free in 2019. Indeed, he has only totalled 112 minutes of Serie A action in five appearances this season.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move back to the Premier League since last summer, with the Reds, Newcastle, Everton and West Ham mooted as destinations.

But according to a recent report, Klopp has admired Ramsey for some time. Indeed, he reportedly considered moving for the player when his contract ran out at Arsenal.

Fast forward two and a half years, and reports are growing that Klopp is back in the market to sign Ramsey.

Indeed, Sport Witness, citing Spanish outlet Fíjachés, claim ther transfer is edging closer.

They suggest Klopp is determined to bolster his options heading into the second half of the season. Furthermore, he sees Ramsey as a player who can add goals to his side from midfield.

And while Thiago has discovered his shooting boots in recent games, a lack of goals from midfielder has long been a concern for Klopp.

In addition, they claim both Juventus and Ramsey are also keen to make the move happen.

Juventus want to move Ramsey on to free up both space in their squad and some much-needed funds. Ramsey is one of their highest earners, reportedly pocketing a mammoth £400,000 a week.

Liverpool could look to sign Ramsey on an initial loan though Juventus would want some assurances that a permanent switch can go through.

Liverpool eyeing deal for Jude Bellingham

The Reds are also continuing to keep watch on Jude Bellingham with regards a future move, according to Peter Crouch.

According to Crouch, though, Liverpool “are due a big one”. And he admits he would love to see Borussia Dortmund midfielder Bellingham move to Anfield. However, he warned that the deal must not impact on the game time given to Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.

Comparing the low work rate of Paris Saint-Germin’s front three to Liverpool’s, he wrote in his Daily Mail column: “If you give nothing the other way, then you have to score two or three every game to make up for it.

“Klopp’s squad know that isn’t an option and the forwards set the tone. I’d love them to go and sign a frontline striker in the future, but maybe that sort of character would not fit.

“Next summer will be interesting, Liverpool feel like they are due a big one, and you’re possibly looking at something extra in midfield.

“Jude Bellingham would fit in perfectly, as long as it is not to the detriment of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, who have suffered cruel luck with injuries.

“It’s not been a settled midfield for a while and those places are up for grabs.”
