Liverpool seriously considering summer move for 25-year-old in-form attacker

Liverpool have shown a conservative approach in the transfer market recently.

Their transfer business in the summer last year was minimum and even in the January transfer window so far, they have been surprisingly quiet.

While other clubs are making moves to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season, manager Arne Slot is confident of his players and squad pushing to win silverware.

Most of the transfer business will be done in the summer transfer window this year by the Premier League leaders.

They could have to step into the market to sign players in a number of positions as Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold could all become free agents and leave the club.

One of the areas they are looking to strengthen is the attacking position and according to Rousing The Kop, they have identified Brentford attacker Bryan Mbuemo as one of their top transfer targets.

Mbuemo has scored 13 goals in 21 appearances this season for Thomas Frank’s side and his form has caught the attention of some of the biggest clubs in England.

A January move away from the club is out of the question for Mbuemo but after spending six years at Brentford, a summer move is likely and Liverpool will be one of the main candidates to sign him.

As per the report, the Premier League side have placed a £50-60m price-tag on their star attacker.

Liverpool face competition to sign Bryan Mbuemo

The Reds will have to beat their Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Arsenal if they are serious about signing the attacker.

Interest in Mbuemo is not a huge surprise considering his quality and versatility and with some top clubs looking to strengthen their attack this year, Mbuemo will be high in demand.

It remains to be seen whether Mbuemo will arrive at the club to replace Salah or to partner him in the Liverpool attack.

Another player they are genuinely considering signing is Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
