Liverpool and Chelsea join race to sign 22-year-old attacker, valued at £100m by his club
Premier League clubs Liverpool and Chelsea are pursuing Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Italian team values Kvaratskhelia at over £100 million, and if they decide to sell, they may earn a significant profit alongside Victor Osimhen.
If Napoli were to sell, a lot of teams would be eager to grab Kvaratskhelia, who has become one of the most fascinating talents in Europe in recent years.
Furthermore, if the Georgian star decides to leave the Serie A, Liverpool and Chelsea are in the running to recruit him, according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, as reported by Area Napoli.
“Kvara’s renewal, at the moment, is still on the high seas: the player wants a raise that is slow in coming, but he will not leave Napoli, with De Laurentiis offering him a mega salary to postpone his sale to 2025. A release clause could also be inserted for him, as was the case with Osimhen. The number 77 is followed by big clubs, such as Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG,” Venerato is quoted as saying.
The 23-year-old, who scored an incredible 12 goals in Serie A last season, has nine goals this season.
La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Chelsea and Liverpool, are reportedly keeping an eye on the player.
As the last summer transfer window came to a conclusion, the Reds were sweating because Salah was always being linked to a move to Al-Ittihad. The Reds turned down a massive £150 million deal, but they now realise that they might not be able to withstand the Egyptian winger’s allure this summer.
Although the 22-year-old is most content on the left side, which is Salah’s opposite flank, the Reds must make every effort to get the brilliant winger if a chance to purchase him arises in the transfer window.
After repeatedly demonstrating his abilities in Italy, he will now move on to either La Liga or the Premier League.
