Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano on Harry Kane’s transfer situation amid Bayern manager uncertainty
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has made it clear that he hasn’t currently got any concrete information on Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich looking uncertain.
It’s been a difficult first season at Bayern for the former Tottenham striker, but it seems the club’s under-achievement and plans to replace Thomas Tuchel as manager at the end of the season are not necessarily going to lead to the England international looking for a quick return to the Premier League.
Kane will no doubt have hoped that leaving Spurs for Bayern would finally give him the chance to win silverware, with Bayern so often dominant in the Bundesliga, winning the last eleven league titles in a row in Germany.
Now, however, Bayern look highly unlikely to catch surprise leaders Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table, so it could mean yet another season empty-handed for Kane, with Tuchel’s side also not exactly looking like one of the main favourites for the Champions League right now.

Still, Romano has spoken exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column about Kane’s situation, and it seems there’s nothing happening at the moment, with the 30-year-old simply focused on his current club and curious about who the new head coach will be.
“There’s already been speculation about Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich after this difficult first season for him at the Allianz Arena, and with the club set to change managers in the summer,” Romano said.
“However, in all honesty, at the moment I have zero concrete news or information on that. Kane is focused on Bayern, with an important Champions League game coming up tonight. Of course Kane is curious to see who’s going to be the new coach, but there’s nothing else to say now.”
