European superpower told to beat Manchester duo to Tottenham hero
Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly told Juventus chiefs to buy him a new centre-forward this summer, with wantaway Tottenham striker Harry Kane on their shortlist.
Allegri is set to undergo a major revamp to his squad after joining up with Juve for his second stint in charge. The Italian has taken over from Andrea Pirlo in Turin after the latter was sacked following one season in charge. Reigning champions Juventus finished fourth in the table, 13 points behind winners Inter Milan.
Cristiano Ronaldo is being strongly tipped to move on, with a return to Manchester United one option. Striker Paulo Dybala and and injury-plagued midfielder Aaron Ramsey could also move on.
With Ronaldo and Dybala seemingly on their way, Allegri wants to bolster his forward line with a marquee signing upfront.
And according to Calciomercato, Juve have made more than one approach for Kane – who is looking to leave Spurs this summer.
The England skipper has revealed his desire to move on after another trophyless campaign in north London.
However, the report adds that Juve have so far found their chase for Kane a difficult one.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is said to have slapped a £130million price tag on his talisman. The 27-year-old also wants a salary worth around £10m-a-year.
Levy is determined to keep the club’s prized asset, that is despite Kane wanting to join a Champions League club.
The mammoth salary demands are not thought to be a huge issue for Juventus, who will free up funds when Ronaldo leaves.
However, the asking price for the forward remains a problem and leaves Man Utd and Man City in the driving seat to get a deal done.
But any potential deal is unlikely to happen until after the Euros, with Kane leading England’s quest for glory.

Tapping up Kane at Euros
Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand says it will be a contest between Manchester United and Manchester City’s players to tap up Harry Kane and Declan Rice at the Euros this summer.
Both Kane and Rice have been heavily linked with United, while the England striker is also understood to be high on Pep Guardiola’s list to replace Sergio Aguero.
The pair look like starters for England against Croatia and will be spending large amounts of times with players from Old Trafford and The Etihad.
The United contingent includes Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford Luke Shaw and Dean Henderson. City meanwhile have Phil Foden, John Stones, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling all vying for starts under Gareth Southgate.
And Ferdinand is well aware of “players talking to players” in camp at St George’s park over the next month.
In fact, it’s something the former United man experienced himself at the 2002 World Cup. Ferdinand was at Leeds when he went to the tournament in Japan and Korea. But when he returned he wasted not time in signing for Man Utd after being approached by both Nicky Butt and David Beckham.
“Yeah that happens,” Ferdinand told the Daily Mirror, when asked if players will talk to Kane about a transfer.
“That happened when I went to the World Cup with Nicky Butt, Becks in the United team. Talked about me coming to United. That was speculation in the paper. That happens, every tournament, every get together.
“Players talking to players. I’m sure managers have said ‘speak to him for me and find out what he’s like’.
“Butt just said to me ‘would you come United?’. And I said ‘yeah I would. I want to win trophies’.
