Declan Rice ship has sailed for big guns, as transfer expert relays joyous West Ham news

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City may well have missed their chance to get their hands on West Ham star Declan Rice, according to one transfer expert.

The Premier League’s big guns were trailing the England midfielder in the summer after another blockbuster season. Rice also excelled at Euro 202o with England to push him further to the top of the trio’s wanted lists. Rice though stayed put and with two-and-a-half years left on his current Hammers deal, plus the option of another year, his future looks safe.

That’s the view of Eurosport’s Dean Jones, who says West Ham are keen to offer him a new deal.

The Hammers are believed to have scared off suitors with a £100m valuation in the summer. Now they are attempting to tie him down to a longer term deal, but Rice apparently wants a release clause, as per 90min.com.

Jones though believes Rice has no intention on calling time on his time ay West Ham.

Jones told Givemesport: “I’d be very, very surprised if he left in the next year or so now.

“I think that the tide turned really and his big moment passed. Now he is fully focused on what he is doing at West Ham.”

Rice’s ambitions matched by West Ham

West Ham are flying in the Premier League after a run of of four straight victories. David Moyes’ me sit in third place, just three points behind leaders Chelsea.

They are also in the quarter-finals of the League Cup and are through to the last-32 of the Europa League.

Moyes is also expected to get a significant transfer cash boost after Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky completed the purchase of a 27 per cent stake in the club.

Kretinsky, who owns Czech club Sparta Prague, and his colleague Pavel Horsky have been appointed to the board at the London Stadium. His £200m stake, according to the Daily Express, will help lower the club’s debt. But Moyes will be hoping for some funds to strengthen his squad in January.

It appears that everything has started to fall into place at the London Stadium; Rice’s ambitions are seemingly being met.
